Liar Liar by Donna Alam

Hot, rich Frenchman woos the sassy, independent Southern belle w a dash of suspense!

OMG!! Remy! *le sigh* *le swoon* He can lie to me anytime!!

Rose, or Roísín if you want to go by her license, friend of Amber from Down Under, is back in the States, San Fran, working as a waitress at a strip club and barely scraping by. She meets the incomparable Remy when she beans him with a HUGE purple dong when he comes up behind her in the middle of the night at her front door.

Realizing the hottie she just knocked out was probably seeking help not trying to attack her, she becomes his good samaritan through his trip to the ER followed by taking him to her home. Which leads to a steamy hot one night stand with a man who apparently speaks no English…just French.

After being bombarded with gifts from her mysterious guest, she eventually ends up taking a job in Monaco and turns up only to discover her hottie is now not only her boss…

…but he speaks English!!

Thus starts a whirlwhind!

Rose is stubbornly independent and highly suspicious of people’s motives. Particularly male motives. She cannot see what Remy, a super rich, super powerful, super sexy male wants with her.

She doesn’t think she’s unattractive. She just isn’t a pampered thoroughbred like the women she imagines he is usually with.

She is right to not be so trusting. Things are not as good they seem in the world of Remy. There are definitely people with questionable motives around. Plus Remy has secrets about why he sought Rose out.

She makes some new friends in Charles & Fee. Remy’s bodyguard, Rhett/Everest, is a character I hope we see more of. And much more!!

We also get glimpses of Amber & Byron and their brood.

Now Remy, so dreamy! He can’t stop thinking about Rose. He is single-minded in his pursuit. He loves her as she is. Even before he realizes it is love. He has been a ruthless businessman, but Rose makes him realize there is more to life than business.

Their path is far from straight and smooth but it is full of romance, steam, a bit of drama, and a dose of humor.

Mmmmm, delicious!!

I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
