Or so he has been telling himself for years as he broodily glares at her. Watches out for her. And low key obsesses over her while telling himself and everyone else that she is his stalker.
He may be a bit self deluded.
But don’t worry, his self delusion helps lay the groundwork for some of the hilarity the NFH series is known for. Men with an insatiable appetite for food. Gorgeous. Confident. And with a tendency to push someone’s buttons. Be it their siblings, their wives, their fathers, their mothers, their bosses, their friends… the Bradfords and their cousins, the James, are very good at pushing buttons.
He bets his sister he has no interest in Cayley while his siblings know the truth is the exact opposite but he won’t admit it if they keep trying to push it on him and so he’s going to prove them wrong by spending a lot of time with her.
And Cayley has been bet by her best friend, Sean, Bryce’s younger brother, that she can’t do things alone. And yet while trying to prove she can do things alone, she finds herself falling for the man who has been glaring at her for years. The man who supposedly hates her. A man who may need someone to scale his walls and break them down.
I love this story. I love Cayley opening Bryce’s eyes and heart. I love the James family and their machinations. I love the ridiculousness of their squabbles and bets and competitiveness. And I so can’t wait to see what Sean and Jess are up to!!
This book made me laugh hysterically. Was spicy. Has lots of heart. And I absolutely adore the Bradfords and their bookiverse!!
